This is how the probiotic wound spray works in dogs and cats

NutraPro®Care Wound Spray utilises effective microorganisms: lactic acid bacteria and yeasts derived from fermented herbal extracts. These microorganisms create a favourable environment in the wound area that supports natural healing. Harmful germs are displaced and lose their means of survival. A stable microbial environment strengthens the body’s own defences and promotes tissue regeneration.

In the field of wound care, the product works on several levels: the spray cleanses the wound, moisturises the skin and supports wound closure. It forms a natural protective barrier over open skin areas, thereby preventing wound infections. Wound healing and skin regeneration are promoted naturally, without the use of chemical active ingredients.

Areas of use in Dogs

The formula is based on natural ingredients and contains no chemical active ingredients. If used in conjunction with disinfectants or antibiotic ointments, it should be borne in mind that these may impair the effective microorganisms in the spray. In practice, it is advisable to apply them at different times.
The formulation contains lactose as an ingredient. When applied topically to skin wounds, systemic absorption in significant quantities is not expected. In animals that lick the treated areas intensively, this should be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Probiotic wound care is generally suitable for supportive aftercare following surgical procedures. In such cases, use should be in consultation with the treating vet, particularly regarding the timing of the first application and compatibility with suture material or wound dressings.
