NutraPro® Equine: Probiotic gut stabilisation for horses
NutraPro® Equine is a highly concentrated pre- and probiotic feed supplement in powder form for horses. The product contains active live yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, CBS 493.94) to aid digestion and is available through vets and selected specialist retailers. NutraPro® Equine is highly effective and is particularly suitable for horses with severe or chronic intestinal problems such as watery stools.
Active live yeast: Saccharomyces cerevisiae (CBS 493.94) at 7.5 x 10¹¹ CFU/kg. The live yeast has been shown to colonise the digestive tract and stabilise the gut flora, particularly in the caecum and large intestine, the key sites of fibre digestion in horses.
Prebiotic component: Inulin selectively promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and supports a healthy gut environment.
Improved fibre digestibility: The active live yeast optimises microbial fermentation in the large intestine, thereby improving the utilisation of fibrous feed. A crucial factor in equine nutrition.
Effective for watery stools: NutraPro® Equine is specifically used for horses with soft stools or watery stools. Stabilising the gut flora can help to improve faecal consistency in the long term.
Combinable: Can be combined very well with other products or medications.
Live yeast as a natural aid to digestion
Around 85% of the immune system is located in the gut. In horses, which are hindgut fermenters, the microbial flora of the caecum and large intestine plays a particularly crucial role: this is where the majority of fibre digestion takes place, and where nutrient absorption is determined.
The delicate balance of the gut flora is easily disrupted by stress, physical exertion, changes in diet (e.g. grazing), variations in hay quality or the administration of medication. The result: digestive problems, watery stools, weakened defences and an increased risk of infection.
NutraPro® Equine utilises active live yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) as a natural aid to digestion. These microorganisms have been shown to adhere to the intestinal wall and colonise the digestive tract. They compete with pathogenic bacteria for nutrients and binding sites, and produce lactic acid, which lowers the pH level in the small intestine. This makes the intestinal sections inhospitable to pathogenic bacteria and pathogens, leading to a lasting stabilisation of gut health.
The result: regular bowel function, improved faecal consistency, optimised nutrient supply, a strengthened immune system and improved general well-being, which is often reflected in the horse’s outward appearance, such as in the quality of its coat.

If necessary, increase the dosage by a maximum of 1 measuring spoon. Suitable for long-term use. The powder is water-soluble.
Note: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight at room temperature. Measuring spoon included. Sufficient for approx. 40 days for a 600 kg horse.
